By examining the Bible's historical and cultural context, its diverse writing styles, and examples of human participation in the inspiration process, we come to a richer understanding of how divine truth is communicated through human words.

What does the Christlike life look like?

A servant looked to the master in hopes of receiving provision of some kind, something to help them. In the same way we look to Yahweh in dependence on his grace and mercy. It cannot be earned. It is not deserved.

We read the words of Scripture through a particular lens, made up of our language, culture, worldview, and another wheelbarrow full of assumptions. Most of the time, we are not even aware of our assumptions or the tinted lens through which we read.

Let there be well-being among us and for those among whom we have been placed. Let there be well-being for our church family, those who walk with us in faith. Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me, my family, and my church. (SQRP Devotional from Psalm 120)
